A message from the Conference Curator

Thank you very much for your interest in the Women in Engineering & Technology Conference.

It has been an absolute pleasure to design and curate what will be an intentional 3-day residential conference for impact and progress. Over the years, I have had the wonderful benefit of spending time with incredible women in our industry. From early career Engineers & Technologists to senior professionals who have played a significant role in the transformation of our industry- all wonderful examples of the power and presence of women in our industry. 

A power and presence that is expressed through creativity, business acumen and an ability to develop solutions for the communities that our industry serves. 

There is however, significant progress to be made. With women making up only 16.5% the Engineering industry due to significant perception and structural challenges, we see many opportunities for balance, improvement and greater creativity.

 DESIGNED TO EMPOWER AND DRIVE REAL IMPACT.

The conference has been designed to enable businesses and our industry evolve through improved balance. It puts Innovation (for Sustainability), Inspiring the Next Generation and Communication (for impact) front and centre. It offers 3 days of providing women in engineering and technology with pure inspiration, practical tools and skills for progress and impact. It is an investment into our industry in every sense. Participants will hear from inspirational Engineers & Technologists. They will learn practical tips for navigating the industy. They will participate in communication and presenting workshops and in workshops on how to inspire the next generation. They will be immersed in conversations and and sessions on innovation and innovating for a more sustainable world- in a way that enables them contribute to impactful and tangible innovation.

The idea of the Ripple Effect Conference is centered around EMPOWERMENT. Participants will be equipped to bring impactful and innovative thinking to their organisations, creating a ripple effect (of progress) through the industry. They will hear from some of the most inspiring people in Industry. Participants will be equipped to run sessions and workshops towards inspiring young people to consider (and achieve) fufilling careers Engineering & Technology.
